Tree Risk Assessment

Minimise tree hazards with Victoria’s leading consulting Arborists

Any organisation with trees on its land carries a legal duty of care.

If a tree fails and someone is injured or property is damaged, the question that follows is always the same: what did you do to identify and manage the risk?

An annual tree risk assessment is how you answer that question. It creates the documentation trail that demonstrates your duty of care is being actively managed, and it gives you the information you need to make decisions about the trees in your care.

What the Assessment Involves

Melbourne Tree Care conducts tree risk assessments in accordance with QTRA (Quantified Tree Risk Assessment) and TRAQ (Tree Risk Assessment Qualification) using internationally recognised, evidence-based methodologies that quantify the likelihood of tree failure and the consequences for people and property.

Each assessment includes a visual inspection of every tree on site, a risk rating for each tree, and a clear report with prioritised recommendations. Where trees require further investigation, specialist services such as sonic tomography, aerial inspection, or Level 3 assessment are identified in the report and arranged directly with our clients.

Our reports are written to withstand scrutiny. If you ever need to demonstrate that you’ve met your duty of care to an insurer, a legal team, or an OH&S auditor, our documentation gives you that confidence.
