Tree Logs are now being recycled for use in playground redevelopment. These logs add a more rustic and natural flavour to the constructed playground environment. Projects of this nature have recently become quite popular with council landscape designers. Second-hand timber has been proposed in parkland building works from Boroondara to Banyule, Casey, Glen Eira, Knox, Kingston, Manningham, Melbourne, Monash, Maroondah, Stonnington, Whitehorse, Whittlesea, and Wyndham.
Melbourne Tree Care has recently purchased a crane-truck so that we can manage logs up to 4.5m in length weighing up to 3 tonne in a single piece. Such addition allows us to assist in the recycling process of logs within playgrounds, parklands, kindergartens and other community spaces. With an 8 metre reach, our telescopic crane eases the tree trunk placement. Our stockpile of large diameter logwood allows us to deliver at a time that fits in with the construction and at a specification that suits the design.
